Pearls is a small reminder program. It sits in the system tray and periodically displays a line or paragraph of text from a specified file.

Lojong ("mind training") is a Buddhist discipline for awakening compassion. The file "lojong.txt" is a reading of the root aphorisms traced to the eleventh century teacher Atisha. It is based on existing "canonical" translations and readily available commentaries. You can edit this file with any text editor, such as Notepad.

Pearls is freeware. You may distribute it freely but you may not charge for it.

Installing
-----------
Unpack into any folder and run.

Uninstalling
------------
Delete the program files.

Operation
---------
1) Right-click the window or tray icon for Pearls' menu.

2) Transparency is only available on WinXP/2000.
   The background image will not show if transparency is on.
   The window background is not clickable if transparent.


Command Line / Shortcut

Usage: pearls [-i inifile] [file]

  -i inifile     use inifile instead of pearls.ini for settings
  file           file is the input file
